Ecco che ieri è uscita su Beatport la prima release del catalogo di Exprezoo dal mio ingresso nello staff a cui, anche se in maniera davvero minima, ho partecipato anch'io, fondamentalmente dando un miniparere nel processo di approvazione di due delle quattro tracce dell'ep, e, soprattutto, scrivendo la press release, che vi riporto qui sotto anche perchè sono troppo pigro per tradurla:
Chapter #8 of the Exprezoo catalogue marks a definitive switch in the style of the label from minimal to deep and housey techno, as suggested by the previous and widely acclaimed release by Alexxei'n'Nig, "I'm not afraid".Siccome siamo un'etichetta che fa le cose a dovere, ci sono pure due tracce intere da sentire, anche se in bassa qualità, su Soundcloud:
"Mild autumn", by the fresh talent Salvatore De Rosa, is a set of tracks that sits somewhere in the indefinite space between deep house à la Dessous and the melodic mood that has been influencing most of the latest minimal releases; thus, the title track is a classy piece of laidback dubby techno, while "Cloudy canyon" is definitely the track that will send the crowd to a mental facility when played on early mornings.
To complete the package, "Your eyes are smiling" follows the style of the title track with a more housey feeling, while AC Project's remix for "Cloudy canyon" surrounds the original melody with a techno background.
La mia preferita è Cloudy canyon, anche se la title track dell'ep merita pure lei :)
